The episode ‘What is the Metacrisis’ in the Entangled World podcast, by Najia Shaukat Lupson, produced in Oct 23, is the best I’ve come across at consolidating the work of major thinkers in what’s going on at a macro level now. It does a great job, in my view, of outlining the complexity we face.
I’ve been following the thinkers she references in the podcast for many years. I can vouch for them. I’ve trained with some them.
But I warn you this is dense, a lot to take in and I would advise that you give yourself time to digest it. You can start 5 min in and skip the introduction and pause after 25 before listening to the final part. It’s about 45min long. The sources she refers to are linked in her show notes.
I urge you not to get lost in conceptual thought, unmoored from your body. Stay connected to your embodied intelligence as referred to in the Courage to Care video. We will go into this a lot more over the coming months.
Follow-up PRACTICES
In the document here are included the slides on What Gets In The Way of Healthy Doing that we discussed in the 1.5 hour session and some suggestions of how to go beyond that. Please appreciate that Unhealthy Doing is designed into our current systems, so shifting this is a process, which takes time. The first step is to see unhealthy doing as it operates in you, accept it and then make conscious choices about what you want to shift and what new capabilities you need to build to do that.
In our next one one one session we can discuss how this applies to your Topic and design a tailored practice for you if that would be useful.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
In Preparation For The Third Transformation Workshop
Give yourself some time over the coming week to dwell in some of the prompts below, in preparation for our next Group. You may want to go for a walk, sit quietly or meditate on them. As much as possible, allow answers to emerge from your ‘inner knowing’.
What continually breaks your heart?
What causes you to be continually outraged?
Where is life taking you (not where do you want to take your life)?
How can you be faithful to your own gifts?
How can you be faithful to the needs you see around you, within reach?
How can you be true to the points where your gifts intersect with those needs, in some life enhancing way?
How can you be fully alive in and to the world?
What is the legacy that those who have gone before you have left for you, that you want to carry on?
What do you want to be remembered for?
Remember to take your journal to our Group.
